Great Plains Planes ("we," "us") is a personal ADS-B flight tracking digest operated by Sam Burnett in Kansas City, Missouri. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
What we collect
When you sign up for the digest, we collect:
- Name — used to personalize your emails
- Email address — used to send you the daily digest
- Zip code — used to localize flight content to your area
We do not collect payment information, location data beyond your zip code, or any browsing or behavioral data.
How we use it
Your information is used solely to send you the Great Plains Planes daily email digest. We do not use it for advertising, analytics, or any other purpose.
Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. We use the following services to operate the digest:
- Amazon Web Services (SES) — email delivery
- Supabase — subscriber database (hosted in the US)
- Railway — backend hosting
Each of these services processes your data only as needed to deliver the digest.
Unsubscribing
Every digest email contains a one-click unsubscribe link at the bottom. Clicking it immediately removes you from all future sends. You can also email [email protected] to request removal.
Data retention
We retain your information for as long as you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe, your record is marked inactive. You can request complete deletion by emailing us.
Security
Subscriber data is stored in a managed, encrypted database. Email is sent via Amazon SES over TLS. We do not store passwords.
